CONSULTING WORK

If you're an author with a book in progress (or a book in mind), perhaps I can add value to how you are tweaking or building your plot, with how your characters grow and interact with each other from page to page to enrich the story you are sharing, and then (of course) how you must anticipate what awaits an author when your story is finished and you venture forth to have it published.

The gauntlet of getting your story published and "on the shelves" is daunting and baffling at the outset.  I've been through it; I can help you deal with it.
TANKS! TANKS! DIRECT FRONT!
By Lt Col James G. Zumwalt USMC (Reserve)
Naval Institute Proceedings / July 1992

"Sneaking across the desert through pre-dawn darkness and dense oil-fire smoke, a full Iraqi tank battalion collided with a company of US Marine reservists from Yakima, WA in the early moments of the Desert Storm ground war's second day.  The Iraqi battalion had 35 tanks, the men of Bravo Company had only 13 but the men of Bravo met the challenge.  This is their story."
As the author of three non-fiction books and a writer of columns and Op-Eds for the past several years, I have a lot of experience in what you will face.

When I began what gradually turned into a writing career, I lucked out and I was blessed with a handful of writer friends who didn't want me to get beaten up (and beaten down) by what befalls most first-time writers or writers who have a track record but are stalled by a "block."  I've experienced all that.  The time I wasted, the sleepless nights...  Contact me.  I may be able to help you.
