A TRUE "DEPLORABLE:" THE TRANSGENDER WHO RACES TO BURN OUR FLAG

James G. Zumwalt / June 25, 2021

World Net Daily ... Transgender U.S. Olympic athlete Chelsea Wolfe recently made headlines for the wrong reason.

Selected to represent the U.S. in the Olympics BMX (bicycle racing on a dirt track) competition, he/she disgustingly wrote in a since-deleted comment, "My goal is to win the Olympics so I can burn a U.S. flag on the podium."

Re-posting the comment, which was made last year, Wolfe ludicrously called the administration of Donald Trump fascist but claimed that his/her post does not reflect hatred for the U.S. per se.

Trying to dig out of a hole, Wolfe continued, "Anyone who thinks that I don't care about the United States is sorely mistaken. One of the reasons why I work so hard to represent the United States in international competition is to show the world that this country has morals and values, that it's not all of the bad things that we're known for...

...I take a stand against fascism because I care about this country and I'm not going to let it fall into the hands of fascists after so many people have fought and sacrificed to prevent fascism from taking hold abroad. As a citizen who wants to be proud of my home country, I'm sure as hell not going to let it take hold here."

There is no rational basis for making the initial comment without intending it to convey the message it clearly does – absolute contempt for Wolfe's country of birth. The subsequent mea culpa is too little too late, made only in an effort to qualify his/her hatred for our flag.

For Wolfe to be selected to represent the U.S. and then make such a statement demeans the great honor the nation has bestowed upon the athlete.

As "Miracle on Ice" team captain Mike Eruzione – who in the 1980 Olympics helped the U.S. hockey team defeat the Soviet Union to win the gold medal in one of the greatest upsets in sports history – explained, "It's the ultimate honor, it's not a Super Bowl or a World Series or a Stanley Cup. This is the United States. You represent every part of this country."

Wolfe obviously ignores a key reason why the modern Olympics are held – to build "a peaceful and better world, by educating youth through sport practiced in accordance with Olympism and its values."

Participants agree to uphold the principles of "peace, fair play and fair contest with the view to creating a peaceful society with less violence and competition." So important is this message that during 3,000 years of Olympic history, despite nations being at war, at times a temporary peace was honored to allow athletes to travel to the event, to compete and to return home safely.

Although it will not happen, Wolfe's outrageous comment should be cause for the U.S. Olympic team to remove him/her. Wolfe's comment only "feeds into hate and undermines American unity on the world stage," notes America's Citizen Press.

It would be interesting to ask Wolfe, if he/she would burn the U.S. flag, which nation's flag then would he/she willingly perform under concerning the issue of transgenderism. The U.S. ranks within the top 10 countries seeking human rights equality for transgenderism. Maybe Wolfe should try representing Iran, or Turkey, to understand how such equality there is lacking.

Perhaps Wolfe has depended on the fake news media to get his/her facts. The media have helped flame the myth that killing transgenders is a hate crime on the rise. But this is only partially true.

After all, as a result of defunding police, crime overall has increased. But transgender killings represent only 2.7% of all hate crimes, and even among those, some deaths were not the result of murder and most involved no transgender bias.

While the U.S. ranks third in the world in the murders of transgenders, an inconvenient truth lacking national focus is that most perpetrators against black trans women are black males.

In any event, Wolfe's exculpatory explanation above is meaningless since President Joe Biden has made it clear he embraces pro-transgenderism despite the unfair advantage it gives trans females over biological females.

Although transgender female athletes must declare as such without changing their status for four years, they also must prove for one year prior to the competition that their testosterone level is under a certain threshold.

However, there are concerns one year may be too short a time frame as transgender women have consistently outperformed biological women a year after starting hormone replacement treatments.

America is fortunate Wolfe is an alternate on the U.S. Olympic BMX team.

That means, while he/she will accompany the team to Tokyo and train with its members, Wolfe is a reserve behind two biological female freestyle riders.

Thus, he/she will only compete if one of them cannot. Let us pray the two female riders stay healthy lest an unpatriotic and truly deplorable Olympian competitor be given an honor not deserved!
